Mobilising around solidarity through events
Context
Through several solidarity and cultural events, I helped develop initiatives to mobilise citizens around social and humanitarian causes, working both on the ground and in project coordination.
My role
Volunteer contributor: designing, organising and coordinating solidarity and cultural events.
My main contributions
Organising solidarity events and street outreach
- Designing, organising and coordinating conferences, charity concerts and civic gatherings
- Organising street outreach for people experiencing homelessness
- Distributing meals and essential goods
Charity concerts
For the second edition, we partnered with Delivr'aide and Studéa, two Montpellier-based organisations tackling student hardship, to whom the funds raised were donated.
- More than 600 people gathered in total across the charity concerts
- €1,250 raised in donations

What this experience taught me
I discovered the power of events when put to the service of a cause: they can create encounters, spark commitment, and sustain mobilisation around a shared project.
