Designing humanitarian projects and carrying an international advocacy effort
Context
For several decades, armed conflicts in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo have caused massive population displacement and a lasting humanitarian crisis.
In response, Memoriae Custodes in Congo works to preserve memory, raise public awareness, and develop initiatives for affected populations. As Secretary General, I contributed to the association's governance, international advocacy efforts, and the design of humanitarian projects.

Co-authoring the book Hécatombe congolaise

What this experience taught me
This experience taught me that defending human rights also relies on the ability to propose concrete solutions, mobilise partners, and engage in dialogue with institutions.
